Paulina Tamara (CL/NO) is an artist based in Bergen, Norway having a MFA Photography from the University for the Creative Arts (UCA), London, mainly working with photography and ideas concerning gendercreativity, (queer) culture and performing for the camera. Her attention is in the space between femininity and masculinity. Paulina has en ever-going-and-growing archival project where she portraits the queer community in Norway for the series called The Others. She has lately also moved towards a performative practice exploring gender roles and sexuality.

For the series Undress, looking at a queer cis-woman undressing she sets out to investigate the ‘female gaze’ and invites women to come to her studio and watch her undress as they have the trigger and choose when to photograph.

During 2022 Paulina exhibited at Copenhagen Photo Festival and ‘Over the Rainbow’ at Preus Museum, Norway’s National Museum of Photography. She was also included in the museum’s collection and was the main exhibitor at Photography’s Day 2022 at Preus Museum. Tamara was also seen at Oslo Negativ Photo Festival 2022 and exhibiting together with Fotogalleriet at Oslo Negativ Photofestival 2023. She was nominated by MUNCH, Fotogalleriet, Preus National Photo Museum to be represented at FUTURES EUROPE 2023.
